Miss Universe New Zealand finalist Amber-Lee Friis has passed on.
Friis’ ability office, The Talent Tree, affirmed the unfortunate news Monday. She was 23.
“It is with enormous bitterness we recognize the unexpected going of a wonderful and capable Wahine Amber-lee Friis,” Talent Tree wrote in a Facebook articulation.
New Zealand Police disclosed to USA TODAY Friday that officials reacted to an “abrupt demise” on May 18. No more subtleties on her reason for death were accessible, yet the police office said they have alluded the demise to a coroner.
Friis, an Auckland local, completed as a finalist during the 2018 Miss Universe New Zealand expo, as per her Facebook page.
Miss Universe New Zealand CEO Nigel Godfrey recollected Friis as a “power to be dealt with.”
“She was feisty, certainly showed no mercy, yet she was an excellent soul and you 100% realized what you were getting,” Godfrey wrote in a Facebook tribute. “She was veritable, legit and she had a vitality not many others have, her heart was without a doubt in the perfect spot. We preferred and regarded her and were exceptionally pleased to call her a companion, long after the opposition had wrapped up.”
Godfrey said “the world is a lesser spot without her in it.”
“She had significantly more to give and it is an awful disaster that she won’t be here to (understand) her boundless potential,” he finished up. “Tear Amber Lee you have left us far, extremely soon.”
